It seems like a dark blanket is pulled over the face,
of the child while he is supine;
By the mother whose love knows no bounds,
and all of a sudden everything darkens;
Night is what they call thee,
So mesmerizing is thy beauty,
Yet so powerful is thy mystic,
That you scare thy own children with thy colour.
For all humans are comforted by the pallor of the day.
Yet so welcomed are you by those who labour,
And your lupine friends who love your darkness and it they savor,
The kings of the day go to sleep as your color takes over the worlds,
Daises,tulips and roses all fall latent,
and daylilies,moonflowers, and evening primroses takes their place,
And when the blanket of night slips away,
A new day begins
and all the mysteries of night again hiddens,
Yet thou does not forget humans,
Even though we, at times are forgetful of thee,
You come back and night descends upon us once again,
With all its mysteries and all its games....
